Nigeria's media mogul, Linda Ikeji, has released a warning letter to the former head of her TV channel, Theo Ukpaa, over rape allegations. NETFLIX BUYS GENEVIEVE NNAJI'S MOVIE 'LION HEART'

An Online movie streaming platform, Netflix, has announced that it has acquired the worldwide rights for Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji’s film, Lionheart. This announcement was made in a press release on the Netflix website before the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere. The movie stars remarkable actors like Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Peter “Mr. P” Okoye and more. The movie is about Genevieve who plays Adaeze, a level-headed executive in her father’s bus company, Lionheart Transport. Many times, Adaeze has proven her ability to make a profit and to manage the most heated situations. But when her father (Pete Edochie) falls ill, both her and her rival are passed over in favor of Adaeze’s less-than-suave uncle, Godswill (Nkem Owoh). A big congratulations to the screen diva as "Lionheart" marks the first Netflix original film from Nigeria.

SULTAN OF SOKOTO'S SON IN A CAR CRASH

It has been reported that Amir the son of the Sultan of Sokoto, Usman Sa’ad Abubakar, has been involved in a car crash on Sunday. According to Sahara Reporters, Amir was drunk and driving at a high speed around 12noon within Sokoto Airport Road with a bottle of codeine in his car when the accident happened. With him in the car were Khalifa Maccido, son of Aliyu Macciddo, and an unnamed girl. In addition, officials of the Sultanate Council were reportedly seen removing the Sultanate council plate number from the car after the crash. Presently, the monarch’s son and others have been rushed to the Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital.

In an interview with Punch, BamBam spoke on why she wore the outfit for the AMVCA 2018 event. She said: “I am not conventional, I can be simple, classy and elegant but one thing about me is that I am a confident woman. TRUCK CRUSHES A MOTORCYCLIST TO DEATH IN OGUN STATE, NIGERIA

It has been reported that a mtorcyclist was on Sunday morning crushed to death by a hit-and-run truck driver around Van Milk roundabout on Iloawela road in Ogun. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Public Relations Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta. Akinbiyi said that the accident occurred around 12:59 a.m. and that it involved an unidentified truck and a red  Boxer Motorcycle with registration number ABG 973 QB. He said that the accident was caused by dangerous riding by the motorcyclist and also excessive speeding on the part of the truck driver. “The truck hit the motorcycle and the rider died on the spot while two other passengers sustained injuries,” he said. The public relations officer said the injured persons were taken to Ifo General Hospital, while the deceased’s body was deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.
