NETFLIX BUYS GENEVIEVE NNAJI'S MOVIE 'LION HEART'
An Online movie streaming platform, Netflix, has announced that it has acquired the worldwide rights for Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji’s film, Lionheart. This announcement was made in a press release on the Netflix website before the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere.
The movie stars remarkable actors like Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Peter “Mr. P” Okoye and more.
The movie is about Genevieve who plays Adaeze, a level-headed executive in her father’s bus company, Lionheart Transport. Many times, Adaeze has proven her ability to make a profit and to manage the most heated situations. But when her father (Pete Edochie) falls ill, both her and her rival are passed over in favor of Adaeze’s less-than-suave uncle, Godswill (Nkem Owoh).
A big congratulations to the screen diva as "Lionheart" marks the first Netflix original film from Nigeria.
