GOSSIP: GOV. IBRAHIM DANKWAMBO DECLARES INTENTION TO RUN FOR PRESIDENCY UNDER PDP 2019...

The Governor of Gombe State, Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo, has finally cleared the air by stating his intention of running for the highest position in the country under the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

This was confirmed in a tweet where he said,  “After wide consultations with party members & Nigerians of diverse backgrounds! I, Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo will be running for office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the platform of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party. #GoingBeyondPromises”.

It can also be recalled that there are other candidates under the People's Democratic Party - Former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Alhaji Sule Lamido, Attahiru Bafarawa,  and Tanimu Turaki. Other possible candidates include Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Senator Bukola Saraki and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto.

The Gombe State Governor believes he has what it takes to improve the security system of the country as well as other issues. This he said, ”I would address the challenges with a blueprint to better the lots of the people of Nigeria. Poverty will be fought and defeated under my leadership. I have the experience; the good people of Nigeria can testify".
