AMEBO: DSS DG, LAWAL DAURA, SACKED AND ARRESTED...

It has been duely reported that the Director-General of the Department of State Service, DSS, Mr Lawal Daura has been sacked by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo for “breaching national security.” Shortly after his termination of appointment, it is said that a combination of the Police and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have arrested and detained the sacked Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).

It can be recalled that some masked men of the DSS invaded the National Assembly Chambers which Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, frowned at such act and termed it "a gross violation of constitutional order, rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order". In addition, it has been stated that Mr. Lawal Daura has been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice.
