It is no longer news that Nigerians have been constantly hounded and arrested by security operatives in Malaysia over fraud related offences.  A Nigerian man Identified as Jerry, has been reported to be severely injured while trying to escape the cops in Malaysia. According to one social media user,  Onowu Igbo who shared the story, wrote that he jumped from upstairs while trying to evade the police. "This our brother jumped from upstairs in Suria Malaysia to escape the cops. He's been taken for treatment as at now. Hope he survives". A 42 year old self professed prophet, Olusola Akindele of Lion of Judah Church of Christ, Robiyan community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been arrested for allegedly beheading his mistress for money rituals. The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, who led his men to the house of the cleric located in the community said the suspect was arrested following a report by the community head. The leader said a headless decomposing body a woman was found in an uncompleted building within the community. He said upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer of Agbado Headquarters, embarked on technical intelligence which led to the apprehension of the suspect. The commissioner said the suspect confessed that the victim was his mistress, whom he simply identified as Iya Anu. Chief Ikedi Ohakim, a former Governor of Imo State, has stated that no fewer than 15 Igbo billionaires have been mobilised to fund the senatorial race of the widow of late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Bianca Ojukwu. He made this statement at Ekwulobia in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State during a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the Anambra South Senatorial district and urged the Igbo race not to watch the wife of their leader be intimidated by anybody in any circumstance. A twenty four year old identified as Ebube Chukwu from Ameke Enu Oduma in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State has committed suicide after an overdose of marijuana. The Police Command in Enugu State said it has commenced investigation into the incident. Spokesman of the command, SP. Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement yesterday in Enugu, said the incident happened on August 22 at Ameke Village in Enu-Oduma Community in the Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State and that the victim allegedly committed the act by hanging himself on top of a tree inside the forest at Obokolo between Amorji and Ameke Oduma Boundary all in Aninri Local Government Area of the state. He said that Chukwu was reported to have committed suicide after taking his usual and hourly wraps of marijuana, popularly called ‘Igbo’. It has been reported that two siblings have been confirmed dead while another was severely burnt on Friday due to  a kerosene explosion that occurred in their residence at Ezzangbo in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The siblings who have been identified as Joshua Ituma (seven years) and his younger sister Joy Ituma (five years) were living with their cousin, Uchena Onwe before the ugly incident occurred. It was revealed by sources that the kerosene was purchased from a fuel station located at a junction on Ezzangbo along the Abakaliki-Enugu Expressway and that the tragedy occurred when a hurricane lamp, filled with the adulterated content, suddenly exploded while the kids were trying to light it. The missing four-year-old girl, Elo Ogidi, whose news went viral has been reportedly found in an orphanage in Benin, Edo State. It was reported that the child had been stolen from the Christ Embassy in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State, during a church service she attended with her parents and their housemaid on Sunday, July 8, 2018. It was reported that the maid had gone to get Elo and her two siblings some slices of cake shared at the thanksgiving in church but did not meet the girl on her seat when she returned. A child, who also attended the programme, claimed to have seen a woman taking Elo away.
